Is Your Name on the List?

People are buzzing about the release of the "Epstein Files."
For those living under a rock, Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in 2019 for sex trafficking of minors, and shortly after, he died in his jail cell by suicide. His death was extremely controversial because many people believed he was murdered by politicians and/or other powerful people so he would not expose the full details of a major, suspected sex trafficking operation. There are even conspiracy theories floating around the internet that he is still alive - and some of it's pretty convincing! All in all, people have been seeking answers...and well, answers might be close.
Within the past few weeks, many new, unredacted documents that contain information about Epstein, his associates, and other related items have been released by the DOJ for public consumption. I won't go into too much detail, but I will say this - if your name is in these documents...bad news for you, bro.
The public and media are clamoring to find out which politicians, businessmen, celebrities, athletes, etc. could have been involved in this horrific scheme. They are asking, "Who are these twisted and vile individuals living among us?" While there is a story to tell here about sin, corruption, and the brokenness of this world - and the reality that justice should be served on behalf of the innocent lives that were impacted, and lost, to this operation - the story that I want to tell right now might throw you through a loop. Sorry, but not sorry - because that's what I do.
While people are chanting "release the names!" it had me thinking about our names - yes, you and me - and where our names might show up.
If there was a list of adulterers or fornicators - would your name be on it? Jesus said that even if a man looks at a woman with lust, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
If there was a list of thieves or coveters - would your name be on it? In this culture where we are conditioned to pursue more and more, it's hard to pray "the LORD is my shepherd I shall not want" and truly mean it.
If there was a list of liars or idolaters - would your name be on it? What, or who, are you idolizing - that is - prioritizing over God? If there was a list of sinners - would your name be on it?
According to the Bible, our names would be on those lists. The Bible says that we are all sinners, and that sin (of any magnitude) must be punished by death and eternal torment in hell. Thankfully, the Bible also teaches we have a way out and a path to reconciliation with God our Father through repentance and belief in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. If you have chosen to repent and follow Jesus - HALLELUJAH! Then your name is on a different list...rather, your name is written in a book!
In Luke 10, we hear about this book. Jesus is teaching His followers why they should rejoice - because their names are on HIS FATHER'S LIST. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:20)
In the Book of Revelation, we learn that it is called...THE BOOK OF LIFE.
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. (Revelation 3:5)
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. (Revelation 20:12)
Hear me, reader. You want your name on this list. You can't afford to be LEFT OUT. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15)

Have you ever tried to crash an event where your name isn't on the list? Whether you got away with it or not, you won't be able to enter Heaven unless your name is on the list. And your name only gets written into the Book of Life through faith in Jesus Christ. At the end of your life on earth, the "Epstein list" and any other lists won't matter. The only list that will matter is the GUEST LIST for the marriage supper of the Lamb. That guest list is the BOOK OF LIFE.
Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ (Revelation 19:9 - partial)
