GetWisdom is an independent blog and news page dedicated to sharing relatable messages and real-life stories of faith, love, and good works designed to point people towards the life-saving grace and truth found in the Bible.  We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that His death on the Cross and resurrection has the power to save mankind.

We believe that God is all-powerful, omnipotent, and perfect in every way possible and therefore, He must uphold righteousness by punishing sin (rebellion against God).  Mankind's nature is to sin, ever since the enemy of God, Satan, deceived Adam and Eve after Creation week.  The punishment for sin, as stated in the scriptures, is death and eternal imprisonment in hell (a place of endless torture, made for Satan and all who sin against God).  But for anyone that confesses Jesus Christ as the Son of God, we believe they are saved from hell.  While every person must experience death, we believe that those individuals who genuinely repent and make a commitment to follow Jesus Christ will be saved from God's wrath - instead receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit and therefore rewarded with eternal life in heaven.

God is a loving Father, whose desire is that no one should perish in hell, but that all would receive the free gift of salvation offered through faith in Jesus Christ.  He sent Jesus to rescue us - how will you respond?  Where will you be in 100 years?  In heaven rejoicing with Jesus?  Or forever bound in hell?
